Karosu Dake (Crow Mountian)

I climbed this mountian (a small one in the summer of 2003) and just found the pictures on my hard drive. The view from the top is quite good and on a clear day you can see Kuju San across the Kyuju Highlands. Karosu dake is one of the 100 famous mountians of Oita Ken. It took less than an hour to get up there. It's a bit hard to find. In the 16 Century the Genji Clan built a castle on the top because they expected to be invaded by Satsuma. There is very little evidence of it now.
