The last few days here have been quite quiet. We went out and did a few shoots, but mostly it's hanging arond in the work space. The main event happens Monday, and although everyone knows what the most reasonable outcome is, it's unlikely to happen. Nobody knows what will happen.

Like I said, it's been quiet lately. All the bombings have happened outside Islamabad in the small towns where the radicals are trying to cow the local population. Apparently they busted a major terror cell in Karachi yesterday so hopefully that place will be quiet.

Islamabad is very quiet. There is an apprehension in the air as though people sense that things may go terribly wrong. There are long ques at the food stalls as people stock up for the closed shops that will mark election day. People have been stocking up for a long time and there are shortages and the prices have gone up dramatically. The ques are orderly enough though. Perhaps everyone has laid enough in store.

There may be troubles ahead on Monday but I think that most people here are proud and more Nationalistic than anything else. If troubles break out I think that after a short while common sense will prevail.
