Today was quite cold. -5 with a strong wind in the afternoon. I took the boys skating at side park , which is a park just outside the 4th ring road. It does not usually have a lot of people but is does have a pond which freezes over nicely. The surface is rough and there is junk all over it, but it's better that the groomed skating rinks which are all terribly overcrowded.

I slipped twice and now have a nice bruise on my elbow. I suppose I will survive.
